Agora ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Agora mobile application and related services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Account Information. If you create an account, we collect information such as your email address, username, display name, password authentication data, and account consent records.
Gameplay Information. We collect information related to your use of the game, including answers, wagers, scores, timing, reasoning submissions, debate responses, opponent choices, game sessions, results, and progress.
User-Generated Content. You may submit written reasoning, debate responses, feedback, campaign ideas, usernames, display names, and other text. This content may be used to operate gameplay, show results, support community features, improve the app, and enforce our rules.
Voice Input. If you choose to use voice input, the app may request microphone access. Audio is used for transcription and may be sent to ElevenLabs for speech-to-text processing. Voice input is optional; you may type instead.
Friends and Multiplayer. If you use social features, we may process friend requests, friend relationships, live challenge information, ghost opponent sessions, and related gameplay data.
Device, Usage, and Analytics Data. We may collect device and usage information such as app activity, pages/screens viewed, session activity, browser or device type, errors, and analytics events. Analytics may be processed using PostHog if enabled.

Agora uses AI services, including Google Gemini, to power debate opponents, scoring, judging, and reasoning feedback. User gameplay text may be sent to these services to provide those features.

Agora is a current-affairs reasoning game. It may include news, political, government-related, or public-policy topics. Agora does not represent a government body and does not provide official government services.
Some information, such as usernames, display names, scores, friend leaderboard entries, reasoning submissions, or community insights, may be visible to other users depending on the feature. Do not submit content you do not want used in the app experience.
Agora is not intended for children under 13. Users must confirm that they are at least 13 years old when creating an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Agora does not offer real-money gambling, cash prizes, subscriptions, in-app purchases, or paid random rewards. In-game chips, points, scores, ranks, wagers, and rewards have no monetary value and cannot be purchased, redeemed, withdrawn, transferred, or cashed out.
We retain account and gameplay information for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain records, improve the service, enforce rules, and comply with legal obligations. Guest/local gameplay data may be stored on the device.
Signed-in users can delete their account in the app by going to Profile > Settings > Delete my account. Deleting an account removes associated account data from our backend deletion flow and signs the user out. You may also contact us for deletion help.
